Alston Motoji Toko, 57, of Kukuihaele died March 22, 2013, at his home. Born in Honokaa, he was a Waipio Valley taro farmer, co-owner of Waipio Ridge Stables and a Navy veteran.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. April 13 at his home at 48-5459 Kukuihaele Road, Kukuihaele, for a noon celebration of life. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Shirley Toko of Kukuihaele; daughters, Keala (Kalae Lukzen) Toko and Malia (Sean) Palea, both of Kukuihaele, Kaui (T.J. Hooper) Toko of Kawaihae; mother, Gladys Toko of Kukuihaele; brothers, Ellaham (Cindi) Toko of Hilo, Naaman (Debbie) Toko of Waipio Valley; sisters, Florene Hoapile of Kukuihaele, Gladys (Daniel) Ablao of Waikoloa; three granddaughters; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
